Hey guys!
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged so I thought it would be fun to do a little pregnancy update for Baby #2! These things are always fun to read (in my opinion, anyway), and if not, it will be fun for me to be able to look back on in the future. This pregnancy has been literally flying by! I can’t even believe that I am 24 weeks along and that we are over halfway to meeting our little peanut.

24 weeks on Valentine’s Day!
Due Date: June 6, 2018
How far along: 24 weeks
Size of baby: Cantaloupe! (WHAT?!)
Gender: GIRL! We found out at 19 weeks, and we’re so, so excited!
Sleep: I sleep like a log. I’m asleep before my head hits the pillow. I’m pretty comfortable still and have only used the Snoogle a couple of times. I also nap when Eli naps 80% of the time… just living it up right now, hahaha.
Cravings: My cravings are so much less intense this time around. By this time around with Eli I was drinking 4 litres of whole milk a week and as many veggie chicken nuggets and fries as I could get (don’t judge me, hahaha). Baby girl is a lot more relaxed though. I like sweet and sour things a lot… like kiwis and sour keys.
Baby movement: My placenta is anterior this time around (in the front), so it took longer to feel movement. Even now, I find that I mostly notice her movements when I am having a quiet moment during the day or relaxing at the end of the day. I think this is just due to chasing around a 16 month old and not having a lot of time to be super aware of everything that is happening inside! She is getting stronger and stronger with her little kicks and punches and I LOVE it!
Challenges this week: Related to above, I would say that a challenge has been just taking the time to enjoy this pregnancy. It’s so much different the second time around because I am so much busier with my little man. I feel a little guilty that I haven’t had the time to focus on every little movement and document this pregnancy as much, but I already love this sweet, little girl so much!
Best moment this week: Eli said bulldozer this week (his first three-syllable word)! The day he learned it after we had read his bulldozer book about 20 times, he kept yelling, “MAMA! Bull-do-dah!”
Well, I think that’s all from me… let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for reading!
xx
