Here we are with another Thankful Thursday!
TBH I’m not feeling all that thankful today. Eli is on a nap strike and we’re both just pooped. And the scene is not looking quite as sweet as this picture (more like sweatpants, unwashed hair and an unmade bed). Buttttt, my resolution for the year was to continue to choose thankfulness even when I am feeling tired, stressed, overwhelmed, and frustrated. So here we go…
- extra snuggles when Eli decides he’s not going to nap.
- babywearing
- grace upon grace for me and for my squish.
- apples with peanut butterrrrrr.
- peanut butter
- chocolate banana smoothie bowls (mmm, I think I’m hungry… nap strikes do that to you, ha).
- that I get to be a mom
- being able to breastfeed Eli and that we didn’t quit after our initial struggles
- the current weather situation in Calgary… we went for the loveliest walk yesterday and it was so hot! (like 8 degrees but that’s HOT after -30!)
- my family
- a roof over my head.
- Jesus
- pictures… we got some developed for the first time in forever and they are pure gold. That little squishy newborn face. I’m dead.
- chocolate
- the baby book I am currently working on… so much cuteness.
- my hubs is the best hubs in the world. He makes me want to be better. And he loves me when I’m being so unlovable.
- Fixer Upper & shiplap
- drinking water that just comes out of a tap when you turn it on!!
- washing machines
- and dishwashers
- basically modern miracles that make life manageable is the current theme
- my mom… so much more appreciation for all that she did now! Love you, mama!
- this selfie… literally just opened my phone to see if I had a decent picture to post and found that those two beauties had a little photo shoot last night on my phone. I can’t even.
Hey, look at that list! I was so grumpy when I started this and just wanted a hot shower, but now I am in such a better mood. There is always so much to be thankful for (in case you were wondering, I just sat down and wrote whatever popped into my head & I highly recommend it). Also, Eli fell asleep in the wrap while I was writing this and bouncing on the exercise ball. Double win.
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His love endures forever. {Psalm 106:1}
Oh, and I’m super thankful for you, dear reader.
